Refund Policy

At New Black Cosmetics, your satisfaction is essential. If a product does not suit you or fails to meet your expectations, here is how to exercise your right of withdrawal and obtain a refund, within the applicable legal framework.

This policy supplements our Terms & Conditions of Sale. If in doubt, please contact our customer service at [email protected] — together we will find the best solution.

1. 14-day right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt of your products to exercise your right of withdrawal, without giving any reason and without incurring any penalty.

Where the order relates to several products delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last product.

2. Hygiene exception — opened or used cosmetic products

In accordance with Article L.221-28, 5° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for cosmetic products that have been opened, unsealed or used after delivery and which cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons.

To be eligible for return, a product must therefore be:

• In its original packaging, intact and undamaged
• Unopened, unsealed, unused (original plastic films, seals and tamper-evident covers in place)
• Accompanied by all its accessories and any gift linked to a promotional offer
• In a condition allowing its resale as new

This restriction is imposed by French regulations. It protects the health of all our customers by guaranteeing the hygienic integrity of products put back on sale.

3. How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision clearly and unambiguously before the 14-day period expires:

1. Send us an email at [email protected] with the subject “Withdrawal — Order no. [your number]“
2. You may use the standard withdrawal form reproduced at the bottom of this page, although this is not compulsory
3. Indicate your order number, date of receipt and the products concerned
4. We acknowledge receipt of your request within 48 working hours and send you the return instructions

4. Returning the products

Once your withdrawal request has been registered, you have a further fourteen (14) days to return the products to us.

4.1. Return address

The products must be returned to the following address, together with the return slip that will be provided to you:

4.2. Return costs and risks

The return costs are borne by you, in accordance with Article L.221-23 of the French Consumer Code. We strongly recommend that you:

• Choose a tracked shipment (tracked Colissimo, tracked Mondial Relay, etc.) so that you can prove dispatch and proper delivery
• Keep your proof of postage until the refund is issued
• Carefully package the products to avoid any damage during transport

The risks associated with the return (loss, theft, damage during transport) are borne by you. No parcel sent cash-on-delivery will be accepted.

5. Refund

Once your return has been received and verified as compliant with the conditions set out in Article 2, we will issue the refund within a maximum of fourteen (14) days.

• Method: refund made using the same payment method as for the initial order (card, PayPal, etc.), unless expressly agreed otherwise
• Amount: purchase price of the returned product(s), as well as the initial delivery costs (except in the event of a partial return — see Article 6)
• No fees will be charged to you for the refund itself

In accordance with Article L.221-24 of the French Consumer Code, we may defer the refund until the products have been recovered, or until you have provided proof of dispatch, whichever event occurs first.

6. Specific cases

6.1. Partial return

In the event of a partial return (you return only part of your order), only the returned products will be refunded. The initial delivery costs remain payable to New Black Cosmetics since you benefited from the delivery service for the products you keep.

6.2. Products linked to a promotional offer

If your order included a gift or a free product as part of a promotional offer, that product must be returned together with the items concerned. Failing this, its value at the initial price may be charged to you and deducted from the refund.

6.3. Sale or promotional items

Sale items, clearance items and promotional items enjoy the same withdrawal rights as full-price items, under the conditions set out above.

7. Defective, non-conforming or damaged products

If you receive a product that is defective, non-conforming or damaged during transport, the framework is different from the right of withdrawal: you benefit from the statutory warranties (conformity warranty and warranty against hidden defects — see Article 11 of the Terms & Conditions).

In such a case:

• Contact us within 14 days of receipt at [email protected], attaching photos of the product and the packaging
• The return and re-dispatch costs are borne by us
• We will, at your choice, replace the product or refund it in full, within a maximum of 30 days

8. Consumer mediation

If, after contacting us, a dispute persists, you may have free recourse to the consumer mediator we have appointed:
