Refund Policy

At New Black Cosmetics, your satisfaction is essential. If a product does not suit you or does not meet your expectations, here is how to exercise your right of withdrawal and obtain a refund, within the applicable legal framework.

This policy complements our Terms and Conditions. If in doubt, please contact our customer service at [email protected] — we will find the best solution together.

1. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

Pursuant to Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), you have a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the receipt of your products to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to justify a reason or pay any penalty.

When the order covers several products delivered separately, the period runs from the receipt of the last product.

2. Hygiene Exception — Opened or Used Cosmetic Products

Pursuant to Article L.221-28, 5 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for cosmetic products that have been opened, unsealed or used after delivery and that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection.

To be eligible for return, a product must therefore be:

• In its original packaging, intact and undamaged
• Unopened, unsealed and unused (original plastic wraps, seals and tamper-evident caps in place)
• Accompanied by all its accessories and any gift linked to a promotional offer
• In a condition allowing its resale as new

This restriction is imposed by French regulations. It protects the health of all our customers by guaranteeing the sanitary integrity of products returned for sale.

3. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision clearly and unambiguously before the expiration of the 14-day period:

1. Send us an email at [email protected] with the subject “Withdrawal — Order No. [your number]“
2. You may use the standard withdrawal form reproduced at the bottom of this page, without obligation
3. Indicate your order number, the date of receipt and the products concerned
4. We acknowledge receipt of your request within 48 business hours and provide you with return instructions

4. Return of Products

Once your withdrawal request is recorded, you have a new period of fourteen (14) days to return the products to us.

4.1. Return Address

Products must be returned to the following address, accompanied by the return slip that will be sent to you:

4.2. Return Fees and Risks

Return shipping fees are at your expense, pursuant to Article L.221-23 of the French Consumer Code. We strongly recommend that you:

• Choose a tracked shipping method (tracked Colissimo, tracked Mondial Relay, etc.) so that you can prove shipment and proper delivery
• Keep your proof of dispatch until you receive your refund
• Pack the products carefully to avoid any damage during transport

The risks associated with the return (loss, theft, damage during transport) are at your expense. No cash-on-delivery package will be accepted.

5. Refund

Once your return is received and verified as compliant with the conditions set out in Article 2, we process the refund within a maximum of fourteen (14) days.

• Method: refund issued via the same payment method used for the initial order (credit card, PayPal, etc.), unless expressly agreed otherwise
• Amount: purchase price of the returned product(s), as well as the initial delivery fees (except in the case of a partial return — see Article 6)
• No fees will be charged to you for the refund itself

Pursuant to Article L.221-24 of the French Consumer Code, we may defer the refund until effective recovery of the products or until you have provided proof of shipment, the date used being whichever is earlier.

6. Special Cases

6.1. Partial Return

In the case of a partial return (you return only part of your order), only the returned products will be refunded. The initial delivery fees remain due to New Black Cosmetics as you have benefited from the delivery service for the products kept.

6.2. Products Linked to a Promotional Offer

If your order included a gift or a free product as part of a promotional offer, this product must be returned with the items concerned. Failing this, its value at the original price may be invoiced and deducted from your refund.

6.3. Sale or Promotional Items

Sale, clearance or promotional items benefit from the same withdrawal rights as full-price items, under the conditions set out above.

7. Defective, Non-Conforming or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is defective, non-conforming to your order or damaged during transport, the framework differs from the right of withdrawal: you benefit from the legal warranties (warranty of conformity and warranty against hidden defects — see Article 11 of the Terms and Conditions).

In this case:

• Contact us within 14 days of receipt at [email protected], attaching photos of the product and packaging
• The return and reshipping fees are at our expense
• We will, at your choice, replace the product or issue a full refund within a maximum of 30 days

8. Consumer Mediation

If, after contacting us, a dispute persists, you may recourse free of charge to the consumer mediator we have designated:
